It is so nice to meet you
Have you ever felt this way? As if there is something inside of you just waiting to be unleashed, asking you to set it free? If you're anything like me, fear can get in the way of allowing us to See, Be and Step into our greatness. Because we all have it in us, and the only person we need to ask permission from is ourself. Scary?...maybe, Exciting?...Yes! When you realize that the most important person in your life is You, dropping the self doubt, the feeling of ego or of this being selfish…something shifts. Because how we show up for ourself directly affects how we show up for others and for life. And when we give compassion, care and kindness to us that energy extends beyond us as well.
Yoga found me in a time of my life when I had lost my way. It's interesting how we can unconsciously fall into patterns that allow life to lead us or we can decide to take the wheel and ride the corners with intention and with more ease and grace. My yoga practice has taught me this. It has a way of meeting us exactly where we are as exactly who we are. Whole, enough and deserving of love.
Within movement is our breath and within our breath is where we can find the present moment, the moment that truly matters. This awareness offers a snapshot in time where we can consciously choose what to do next. And this is beyond powerful. We get to become the driver and the creator of our life! Sometimes life, the workout, the moment gets a little uncomfortable and we can begin to learn what is too much and where we can lean into it just a little. This challenges our limits and allows us the realization that we are growing and learning something new, something different and something exciting about the one and only You. What I have found is that this practice and training we do here on our mats can become so much more than just a workout out. It becomes a work-in. And we get to practice life here, train our mind and our body one breath, one movement at a time. Consider the yoga mat and what is experienced here as a microcosm of how we get to show up in the world around us. On the mat we can create more space within ourself to then see the bigger picture out there and widen our vision. We can find strength on our mats so that in difficult times we encounter in the world we are reminded that we are capable of handling that too.
When we create space, consider it a pause, a gap between this moment, this breath and the next I do believe there is magic here. In this space we can make a decision from a place of complete awareness. And quite possibly from a place where there is more peace, more understanding, more compassion and more Love.

“We get the opportunity to discover and learn something new about ourselves every time we show up on our mat. Allow yourself to feel into your practice and expect to leave with exactly what you need. Sometimes we know what that is and often times it comes as a surprise, keeping us coming back again and again.” - Leah
